Lake Śniardwy – space and freedom for everyone
Lake Śniardwy is the largest body of water in Poland. Its area exceeds 110 km². This huge space guarantees unique opportunities for relaxation. Far from the crowds, even in the high season. Śniardwy is the perfect place for people who dream of swimming in a huge lake and enjoying the peace and quiet. Along the shores, you will find both organised bathing areas and wild, almost untouched coves. The beach in Nowe Guty is very popular. Wide, with a sandy descent into the water, it is ideal for families with children. There are several campsites in the area, as well as a marina where you can rent kayaks, pedal boats and SUP boards. Lake Śniardwy will also delight nature lovers. The extensive reed beds are visited by numerous species of water birds. A morning swim with a view of flying cranes? In Masuria, you can experience just that. A visit to this lake will remain in your memory for a long time.
Lake Tałty – family relaxation with attractions
Are you planning a family holiday with children? Then a place that combines comfort, a large number of attractions and appropriate infrastructure is the best choice. Lake Tałty is an excellent choice. It is located near Mikołajki and is part of the Great Masurian Lakes Trail. The water here is calm and the shores are not steep, which is conducive to safe swimming. In Mikołajki and the surrounding towns, you will find well-developed beaches, guarded bathing areas and plenty of attractions for families. The youngest visitors will enjoy water slides, playgrounds, rope parks and even a small zoo. Parents can relax on deckchairs while sipping lemonade in one of the waterfront bars. A boat trip is an excellent idea. The views are breathtaking. Rent a boat or a pedal boat and spend your time actively. When you feel tired, organise a picnic on the beach. A few drops of rain will not be a problem. This is the perfect opportunity for the little ones to take part in activities led by professional animators. You, on the other hand, can relax in the hotel's SPA zone. There is no shortage of summer festivals in this region. Music, stalls and the smell of regional dishes create an atmosphere that cannot be replicated.
Lake Mamry – wild nature and clean water
Those looking for peace and closeness to nature should head to Lake Mamry. Located in the northern part of Masuria, it covers an area of over 100 km², comprising several interconnected bodies of water. It is less known than Śniardwy or Tałty, but that does not mean it is not worth visiting. On the contrary. Its advantage is the opportunity to observe true, wild nature. This reservoir is characterised by exceptionally clean water. This is confirmed not only by research, but also by the excellent visibility of the bottom. Swimming in Mamry is a real pleasure – no algae, no pollution, no noise. If you feel like swimming, it is best to go to the vicinity of Kal, Trygort or Sztynort. These are small, quiet villages where time passes much more slowly. Within a few minutes, you will forget all your stress and everyday problems. You will recharge your batteries and take care of your body and mind. If you like diving, you will definitely enjoy your stay in this part of Masuria.
What is worth knowing before you set off for the Masurian lakes?
Regardless of which lake you choose, you need to prepare properly for your trip. Remember to always visit guarded bathing areas. This is extremely important, especially if you are travelling with children. Check the current information on water conditions and applicable bathing regulations. Make sure you have sunscreen in your suitcase. UV radiation over water can be extremely intense, and it is a good idea to reapply sunscreen after every time you go ashore. In Masuria, the weather can change very quickly. Always have a thin rain jacket handy and keep an eye on the forecast. Violent storms can appear suddenly and often take tourists by surprise. Take care of the environment. Do not leave rubbish behind, do not make noise, do not damage plants. Are you planning to stay by a lake with a rocky shore? If so, pack special shoes for going into the water. Otherwise, swimming may result in painful abrasions and cuts on your feet.
Each Masurian lake is unique in its own way. They all have a lot to offer, so think carefully about which one appeals to you the most. Hotel Robert's Port is located right on the shore of Lake Tałty. It offers its guests comfortable accommodation and access to a variety of attractions. We cordially invite you to visit us!
